I am moved by what this noble and beautiful lady did, whom I have not met but only learned of now from the internet. The grant is a great help and encouragement for anyone who wants to learn.

Best wishes,

Kathy

Hello Dermot,

Just wanted to say what a lovely website this is. It was so nice to read about Siew-Yue's life - I hadn't realised she was born in Malaysia.

It's great that people are being helped with grants. Well done.

I have very happy memories of Chinese classes in Newcastle with you and Siew-Yue.

Best wishes,
Janice

Dear Dermot,

Siew-Yue helped me proof-reading my Ph.D. thesis when I was in Newcastle. She even attended the ceremony on my graduation day to see me and meet my family. I admired her committment for that and indebted to her very much. It is amazing to know that you now run a memorial trust for those who want to study SY's subjects. I hope for the best
for what you have done.

It's a very good website, telling me lots I didn't know about Siew-Yue, and easy to move around.
Congratulations, Dermot!
Chrissy
